Simon Phillips has been described by Tommy Emmanuel as “a serious talent”. Simon is far from your typical guitarist, with a vast range of vocal melodies and using every limb in his body – his foot percussion that brings the beat, a tambourine, and the sweet sounds from his Cole Clark. This virtuoso blends a distinctive and skillful sound that’s heavily steeped in soul, gospel, fingerstyle, and blues & roots. Did we mention the harmonica and mouth trumpet? Simon redefines the meaning of a one-man band with the artistry that The Freemantle Herald called “Quite literally amazing…he should be listened to obsessively”.
Aaron Pollock has risen quickly to become one of Australia’s most refreshing acoustic acts. At only 25 years old, Aaron is the youngest Australian to represent his country at the International Blues Challenge Finals, opening the door for his recent recognition as one of the world’s finest young blues entertainers. His lively and captive performances, atypical for acoustic blues performances, keep audiences dancing, singing, and charmed by his fingerpicking prowess and intimate songwriting.
